Economist focusing on the Czech economy, monetary and fiscal policy and the banking sector. He is the author of the successful popularization book "Economic One Hits" and the currently published sequel "Financial One Hits". He has also written a university textbook on behavioural economics. He is currently a member of the analytical team of Česká spořitelna. He also serves as chairman of the Committee on Budget Forecasts and a member of the board of the Czech Economic Society. From 2000 to 2016 he worked at the Czech National Bank, mainly as an advisor to the Bank Board. He has lectured at the IMF, OECD and other foreign institutions. He has also conducted over 50 financial and economic literacy seminars for teachers across the Czech Republic. He received his PhD in economic theory from the Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University.
