Simona Hornochová

Director General, Financial Administration of the Czech Republic

Simona Hornochová is a renowned Czech tax expert. From 2014 to 2015, she served as Deputy Minister of Finance, and since March 2023, she has held the position of Director General of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic. In her current role, she has long focused on modernizing tax administration and developing user-friendly digital services for the public, particularly through the MOJE daně (MY Taxes) portal. Under her leadership, the Financial Administration also succeeded in the 2024 Civil Servant Achievement of the Year competition, where it won an award in the Digital Transformation category. The emphasis on digitization with all its associated challenges, maximizing development potential, effective technological support for tax administration and responsive communication with taxpayers remain strategic tasks for the Financial Administration under the leadership of Simona Hornochová.
